Since then I have not been dedicated enough to run consistently.  My body had suffered from the lack of exercise. I started working out a little over two years ago and since then have lost almost 30 pounds.  It’s time to go after a goal of mine which is to run a marathon before i die.  I have started training and plan to run a half marathon or two first. &lt;p&gt;This image was the motivation for the week.  My wife had never ran a   5k and I hadn’t ran one in over 15 years.  On Saturday that changed and   it got me so excited to continue reaching for the goals I set for  myself  this year.  We pushed ourselves to our best this weekend and no  matter  how slow we felt we were going we keep going and didn’t stop.  First goal  - 5k complete.  Next goal is the 10k which we signed up for  the Bolder  Boulder in CO. and we can’t wait.  Keep Running!&lt;/p&gt;

I ended up 15th overall out of 420 runners. Not bad for the first race back I think. Also wanted to congratulate my sweetheart for running her first ever 5k. This is amazing since she never understood running and said she wouldn’t run that far. She trained for the last couple weeks and finished today in 30 minutes. I’m so proud of her.
