Week 7 - 34.91 miles
A good week.  I managed to run the almost 35 miles in 5 days.  On Friday I ran 12.7 miles and passed the 200 mile mark for the year.  Another goal down for the year.  I look to take down the 250 mile mark in the next couple weeks.  On top of the running I went to a couple yoga classes and a strength training class.  The yoga really helped me to feel stretched.  I feel better after this week than I have after some of my past weeks.  I hope all of you are doing as well with your goals for the year.  You are all keeping me motivated and wish you all the best.  Keep Running!

Week 6 - 25.44 miles
This image was the motivation for the week.  My wife had never ran a 5k and I hadn’t ran one in over 15 years.  On Saturday that changed and it got me so excited to continue reaching for the goals I set for myself this year.  We pushed ourselves to our best this weekend and no matter how slow we felt we were going we keep going and didn’t stop. First goal - 5k complete.  Next goal is the 10k which we signed up for the Bolder Boulder in CO. and we can’t wait.  Keep Running!

Sweethearts 5k First 5k in over 15 years finished in 21:41 and took 3rd in my age category. I ended up 15th overall out of 420 runners. Not bad for the first race back I think. Also wanted to congratulate my sweetheart for running her first ever 5k. This is amazing since she never understood running and said she wouldn’t run that far. She trained for the last couple weeks and finished today in 30 minutes. I’m so proud of her. Keep Running!

I went and picked up my packet for the Sweethearts 5k tomorrow morning. If I am this sore tomorrow it might not be good and I will be running at my sweethearts pace.

Week 5 - No Excuses - Total miles 27.31
This week was full of pretend excuses.  The excuses I had this week were weak and I let them effect my running and my overall goals.  While I still managed to record over 27 miles I missed three days of running.  We all have excuses not to running and to not workout but are we letting pretend excuses get in the way of our goals?  No Excuses, keep running.

Goodbye January!  Well while I had a few bumps along the road I completed 112.93 miles in the month of January.  A good start to 2012.  I hope to increase that as the months go on.  Good luck in February and Keep Running!
